Weekend in review

What a fun weekend we've had! We kicked it off Friday night with a Dave Matthews concert. This one was unlike any other one we've been to because it was a 2 set show; 1 set acoustic, 1 set electric. It was awesome! Saturday we went for a walk, strolled through farmer's market, stopped for some tacos, checked out the Good Guys car show that was in town and went to our friends' house for dinner. Today we took a long walk from Lafayette to Moraga, strolled through SMC campus before heading back to Lafayette. Had lunch at one of our favorite spots, Chow , then ran a few errands before finally ending up at home to relax - we're trying to take full advantage of these relaxing days :) Here are a few pictures from the weekend. 2 week check up

Happy 2 weeks little Wesley! We braved the wind & rain to get to our first pediatric appointment this morning ... he was such a good sport. At the appointment I learned that Wesley had gained a whole pound + 1 oz! He is now weighing 8lbs 13oz and the doctor was not only surprised but thrilled, as am I. She told me that they like to see that babies are back to their birth weight at 2 weeks, and we achieved that and then some :) Guess all my worrying about whether he was "eating" enough was wasted energy. He has grown 1 inch to 21.5". She was also impressed with how strong he was already. Since he is growing so well and is gaining weight, we were given "permission" to let him sleep as long as he'd like at night - woo hoo! Up until now, I had been waking him up every 2-3 hours to feed at night but going forward we will let him sleep as long as he wants and he will dictate the night feedings. I'll stick to feeding him every 2-3 hours ...

2 months old & a well check

2 months, already?! Hard to believe but they have been the best 2 months of my life ( fyi - I suspect I'll be saying that about each month from here on out ). I wish time would slow down. Wesley is smiling and "talking" these days. He had his 2 month well check and first round of shots this morning and here's how he's measuring up: 97% for length (24.5") - up 3" from last appt 41% for weight (b/c he is so long - 11lb 15oz) - up 3.02 from last appt 59% for head circumference (15.5") - up 1" from last appt such a little trooper taking his oral vaccine & getting his other shots lots of cuddles this afternoon, after the shots ... I'm not complaining :)
